Page Rank vs Visitor Traffic

When I relate that my blog Page Rank (PR) has rose from 0 to 4 and my visitor volume jumped more than 7 folds over previous month, some people commented that there is no direct relationship between PR and visitor volume and PR don’t drive traffic.

I researched the net and found that PR improves in tandem to increase of both link-ins and link-outs to quality sites from your blog. You can create many link-ins to your blog but if there is not enough link-outs, the PR would not goes up. Link-outs can only be done by by third parties and you can’t control it. Logically speaking, the more visitors to your blog, the more chances your blog will get link-outs. It is a chicken and egg situation. Anyway, not to be sorry worry about this. This is only one of the few factors that will get your blog ranks higher.

To summarize, I do believe there is a close relationship between PR and Visitor Traffic. The higher your PR, the better your blog get ranked in Google search. Logically, this will attract more visitors to your blog.

Putting all these aside, it is a fact that when my blog’s page rank improved from 0 to 4 and the volume of visitors increases.
