Most women pass through the menopause with relative few problems. But you should have a regular checkup when signs of menopause begin to show.
Ensure that these signs are due to the ‘change’ and not other problems, such as a tumor.
One way to verify that you are going through a menopause, is to seek blood tests which include two pituitary tests called follicle stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone and also your blood estrogen. If you are not sure what these mean, don’t worry about those complicated medical terms or words. Your doctor will be able to help you with ease.
Be aware of the following conditions:
1. Excessive bleeding, bleeding between periods.
2. Unusually difficult or painful periods.
3. Bleeding six months or longer after your last period.
4. Unexplained symptoms.
All the above symptoms may mean a more serious problem other than menopause. Therefore, if you are encountering any of them, be sure to seek medical advices from your doctor.
