Something You should know about Adsense Payment

There are many terms and conditions in Adsense Program. But I guess the most important that everyone wants to know is most probably the payment related terms and conditions in the program. I have read through the Adsense Program terms and conditions and summarized the ones that are related to payment for your easy reference.

VERIFICATION THRESHOLD
Adsense has a verification function whereby if you reach the first $10.00 adsense money, they will send a Personal Identifical Number (PIN) mail to verify the accuracy of your account information. You’ll then be required to enter this PIN in your account.

PAYMENT THRESHOLD
Active accounts need to reach the payment threshold in order to qualify for a payment. Cancelled accounts, however, can be paid out if their unpaid earnings are greater than the cancellation threshold. Since Adsense don’t ever issue payments for less than this threshold, they don’t allow publishers to select a form of payment until their earnings have reached this amount.

You will be paid out when your unpaid earnings reach the payments threshold and when all holds have been removed from your account. Payment thresholds are based on the reporting currency that your AdSense reports are displayed in.
Cancellation Threshold

If you decide to cancel your account, you’ll receive your final payment within approximately 90 days of the end of the month, provided that your account balance is greater than the cancellation threshold.

In the AdSense program, you’ll be paid when your earnings reach the payment threshold, as long as there are no holds on your account, and you’re in compliance with our policies.

However, Adsense don’t send you a check or bank transfer at the exact moment the zeroes roll over. First, they have to validate your earnings for accuracy — a process that takes place the first week of every month on the previous month’s earnings. Then, they send payments a couple weeks later, usually during the last week of the month.

So if your earnings reach the payment threshold in February, they’ll send you a payment before the end of March.

If your account balance hasn’t reached the payment threshold at the end of the month, they’ll roll your earnings over to the following month, until the payment threshold is reached. Balances include your total combined earnings for all AdSense products.

If you’re receiving earnings through the YouTube Partner Program, learn how these earnings will appear in your AdSense account.

If a publisher’s account is found to be in violation of Adsense’s Terms and Conditions or policies, Adsense may at any time withhold payment (beginning from when Google initiates its investigation of potential violations), charge back the publisher’s account, and/or refund advertisers for clicks received on the publisher’s site or AdSense for search results page. In addition, if a publisher is past due on any payment to Google in connection with the Google AdWords program, Adsense reserves the right to withhold payment until all outstanding payments have been made.
